Parks/Grounds Maintenance (Ages 16+)
Are you the type of person who enjoys the outdoors, plants, mowing lawns, or landscaping? The Parks/Grounds Maintenance division is seeking individuals 16 years of age and older. Must have a valid drivers license. These 40-hour-per-week seasonal positions are offered as short-term (May–August) options. No experience is necessary, as training is provided.

  • April 1:  1–5 p.m.
Lifeguard (Ages 15+)
The Recreation Department offers a variety of incentives such as hiring, referral, free certification renewal, and potential partial reimbursement pay for any certification costs. Call and ask us about our new lifeguard certification offer. There is still time for those interested in lifeguarding to register for certification courses at Denisonrec.com

Concessions/Mini Golf (Ages 14+)
Are you the type of person who enjoys interacting with people of all ages? The Recreation Department is seeking individuals 14 years of age and older for a variety of positions. No experience is necessary, as training is provided.

Visit with Parks and Recreation staff to find out what position might be a good match.
Open positions include:

Concessions/Mini Golf Attendant
Greet customers, sell concession items at various locations, run and monitor the mini golf course, provide excellent customer service and set the tone for every visitor. An enthusiastic and friendly demeanor to every visitor is desired.
$7.25 per hour               May–September
 
Lifeguard
Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintains a high standard of customer service. Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility. Must be American Red Cross certified.
$8.00 per hour                      May–September

Parks/Grounds Maintenance
Perform various maintenance and custodial duties of park and Aquatic Center grounds, facilities, and equipment. Also perform maintenance duties related to the preparation and care of athletic fields. Must be16 years of age and older, with a valid drivers license. These 40-hour-per-week seasonal positions are offered as short-term (May–August) options. No experience is necessary, as training is provided.
$8.00 per hour                   May through August
